A church property in Hamburg’s S\u00fclldorf district has been rethought and further developed. The client is the church district of Hamburg West S\u00fcd Holstein. After a new day care center had been built in the first construction phase, the former community center was to make way for urgently needed living space. TePm’s involvement began with this second construction phase: demolition of the existing building and construction of a new apartment building on a narrow inner-city site. <\/p>\n

TePm took on the project management and was also largely responsible for project management tasks. Together with the client, we prepared decisions, set priorities and structured processes. In addition to the traditional management of deadlines, costs and quality, we introduced lean methods to make processes transparent and efficient. <\/p>\n

The implementation required a sure instinct. The construction site was cramped, the neighborhood close, the logistics challenging. At the same time, a contemporary residential building with a modern energy supply using a heat pump and photovoltaics was created. The project thus combines sustainable technology with a sensitive integration into the existing environment. <\/p>\n

The completion of the project created 18 new residential units. The living space is used as part of a social allocation concept and is therefore available to people who are dependent on supported housing. The project shows how church land can be developed responsibly and transformed into concrete social added value for the city.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
