Together with DB InfraGO AG as the client, a central security location was restructured at Osnabrück main station. The background to this was the relocation of the Federal Police, whose previous station in an adjacent building had become too small. Two vacant units in the station building were gutted, merged and converted into a modern police station – integrated into the ongoing station operations.
TePm took on the project management and project control and was responsible for managing deadlines, costs and quality. We coordinated all parties involved, closely agreed the requirements with the Federal Police and ensured that the specific safety requirements were consistently implemented. In addition to technical planning, commercial management also played an important role.
The security and organizational requirements were high. Access controls, hazard detection technology, special structural protection measures and sensitive information flows required structured and reliable project management. At the same time, the building was being constructed in a historic station building, during ongoing operations and with the typical imponderables of an existing property.
With its completion, the Federal Police now has a modern location directly at the main railway station. The presence at an important transport hub is strengthened, working conditions are significantly improved and cooperation with the station management is more closely interlinked in terms of space and organization.
